Words have always felt like a second language to me.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Resonant Body as a collection begins there; in permeability, a state which I have spent years practicing and subsequently teaching through yoga, and breathwork. A state where breath, frequency and emotion are allowed to move through the body before the mind can edit them. Over time I came to understand that painting was not separate from this work but another form of the emotional release I feel when dancing or practicing yoga. In this series I am trying to capture that same act of staying open. Teaching the body to receive, letting sound reorganise what is felt, putting down a mark before any thought arrives, these are one practice expressed three ways.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMusic is an incredibly important part of life. As humans we are bound together by rituals.
